Pembrokeshire County Show

August 16th, 17th, 18th 2011

The Pembrokeshire County Show is the largest 3-day Agricultural County Show in Wales. They welcome almost 100,000 people to the County Showground every August to enjoy a fantastic array of displays, competitions, entertainments and shopping.

With three days of action packed fun and entertainment, there's something for everyone - from the show rings where you can see impressive displays of livestock and equine competitions, to the food hall where you can sample Pembrokeshire's finest produce.

Pembrokeshire Rivers Trust will be there along with our regular 'partners': Pembrokeshire Anglers Association and Pembrokeshire Federation Of Angling Coaches. The organizing committee are installing a long marquee in the Conservation area and we have hired a 6m frontage.

The PRT emphasis will again be on attracting volunteers to the cause, emphasing the work carried out in the last year and the need for more volunteers to carry out the work in the future. We are also going to publicize the successful delivery of the 2011 Pembrokeshire Schools Otter project as well as the work of the PRT RIM and Habitat Survey teams. In addition we will have comparison displays of the inverterbrates from the on-site pond and the Western Cleddau.

We have also organized for two coaches from PFAC (Nica Prichard and Neil Phillips) to give fly casting demonstrations in the display area of the Conservation Area. The displays are 2 half hour sessions on each day, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.
