In conjunction with the landowner, The Countryside Council For Wales and Environment Agency Wales, we are in the process of installing approx 650m of new fencing, 2 access gates and a drinking bay at Shoals Hook farm. The landowner has also entered into a Management Agreement with The Countryside Council For Wales which means that a large area of land will have animals totally excluded from it.

This will provide an excellent habitat for wildlife right next to Cartlett Brook (which is a designated SSSI river) and stop the severe silting which was occurring in the river from animal poaching. The detailed Site Management Plan has been submitted to local contractors for tender and we are hoping to progress this project in the near future.
