Pembrokeshire County Show

August 16th, 17th, 18th 2011

The Pembrokeshire County Show is the largest 3-day Agricultural County Show in Wales. They welcome almost 100,000 people to the County Showground every August to enjoy a fantastic array of displays, competitions, entertainments and shopping.

Survey Volunteers Training

Over the summer months at various events (see earlier news items), a 'recruitment drive' for new volunteers has been spearheaded by Vice-Chairman, Lloyd Evans and supported by several Trustees and Volunteers. Having obtained the kind services of a good number of locals and also a group of environmental students from Pembrokeshire College, tutored by Mark Brace, an environment survey training day was held recently in Haverfordwest.

Pembrokeshire County Show 2010

In July 2010, PRT was delighted to receive a telephone call from the President Elect of Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society, Roger J Mathias Esq, offering a stall at the 2010 Pembrokeshire County Show. We were even more delighted when we found out that the stall was FREE, an offer that a charitable organisation such as ours could not turn down.

Really Wild Food Festival 2010

Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th September 2010

If you’re on holiday and find yourself near to Pembrokeshire this September, there is a real festival treat for foodies and foragers. Come to the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park to celebrate food and countryside crafts originating from the wild. The Really Wild Food & Countryside Festival is the perfect excuse to get out into the countryside and better understand nature’s role in our kitchens, crafts, and medicines. See hands-on demonstrations and learn from experts about foraging for food and creating natural remedies.

 

National Trust Open Day at Stackpole 2010

Saturday 11th September 2010

The Stackpole Centre is a multi-purpose venue at the heart of the famous Stackpole Estate, formerly home of the Cawdor Family. The estate is a designated Grade 1 Heritage landscape and a National Nature Reserve. It has an unique and versatile range of cottages and group houses surrounded by 810 hectares of National Trust managed woodlands, coastline, cliffs and adjacent to the famous Bosherston lily ponds.
