
Pwllcrochan is a sheltered inlet consisting of a freshwater creek culminating in a small area of salt marsh. There is a small tidal shore with shingle and mudflats. Views across the Cleddau offer opportunities to spot wadding birds on the mud flats. The inlet is tidal and care should be taken with a view to incoming tides.

Access
Access is by car or bicycle along the B4320 road to Angle. The site is approx 8 km by road from the town of Pembroke. There is a bus service from Pembroke to Angle but not to Pwllcrochan.
Facilities
The site at Pwllcrochan has been sponsored by The Prince’s Trust and Texaco. There are picnic tables but no other refreshment facilities. Toilets are situated in St Mary’s Church, access to which is available when the building is being used; it is owned by Chevron-Texaco and used as an educational facility.
Parking
There is car parking for approximately 15 cars.
Walks
An unsigned footpath/trail leads from the road, alongside the creek down to the muddy shore. The Pembrokeshire coastal path also runs past the site. Please note that road signs to the site are not easy to locate and the turning for the Texaco refinery off the B4320 should be used. The boardwalks are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs but care must be taken in icy or wet conditions. No dogs except guide dogs are permitted on this site. A non-signposted path leads from this point to the Eastern Cleddau site; this path is unsuitable for wheelchairs or for pushchairs.
